These companies are providing discounts per first one year and this is one of two main reasons that rather of new websites having cheap domain name extensions such as .co.uk, .info, .biz... disappear after one year. In the first one year it's even cheaper.

But there's no correlation between the prices of the domain names. If e.g. Good Daddy is offering .com cheaper than some else, then it doesn't mean that .org must be cheaper as well.
